Filters

In Photoshop you can use filters to distort your photos to stretch reality. To find the galley go to filers at the top of the page.

Here you will find the filter galley; where you can find the different filters to change your image.

In the filter gallery there are 6 different categories to pick from. Artistic, brush stroke, distort, sketch, stylize, and texture. Look through the different types to get a to get a idea of what you would like to use for your comic strip.

You can also change the levels of the filter by using the slide bars on the side. this will control the amount the filter will change.

In this picture you can see the 6 different categories. Take the time to look at the different types.

Body Sizes and PNG

Always remember when you creating something in Photoshop to create the correct body size. If Anna is next to Shrek she will be half the size of Shrek. Woody and Buzz will be the size of toys in the real world. To make it easier to cut out  people you can type in the person your looking for followed by  PNG or transparent. make sure the background is checker board. You will be able to move the image directly without having to cut it out with lasso tool.

Comic Strip

Photoshop is a computer program designed to manipulate photos. Photoshop is used for a variety of reasons in the world today. It is used in newspapers, TV production, gossip magazines, and websites. In this project you will use Photoshop to make a personal comic strip. You will use cameras (cell phones) to create your comic strip. I would like to see students explore the possibilities. You will be given class time to take and edit photos, but be productive with your class time as you will only have Photoshop in the classroom. Incorporate images from the internet as well as your own. Use pictures of celebrities and famous backgrounds where needed. Avoid offensive language and gestures during the making of your comic strip. Everything must be PG and school appropriate.
